We aim to provide students with a high quality academic and ‘Character Education’, which develops confident young people who are successful learners and contribute positively to society.
We are looking for a new member of the Additional Educational Need (AEN) team with a ‘can do’ attitude who to help support this vision. Someone with experience in schools is preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will need to hold a GCSE qualification in Maths / English (or equivalent).
The candidate fulfilling this role will be expected to work effectively with individual students and/or small groups under the direction of a class teacher/SENCO. Teaching Assistants will contribute to, and need to demonstrate skills in, planning, monitoring, assessment and class management. Teaching Assistants are expected to work as part of the school team and contribute to plans to ensure the school meets its aims.
The post holder must work within the relevant policies, codes of practice and legislation reporting any concerns to the appropriate person.
The post holder must have good communication skills to be able to inform, persuade, inspire and motivate students and provide feedback to other professionals and parents as required.
