We are seeking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team from September 2025, working full-time within our mixed Year 4/5 class. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a nurturing, ambitious and creative learning environment where children are known as individuals and supported to thrive.

We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children in a school or education setting
Demonstrates initiative and can adapt support to meet the needs of individuals and groups
Communicates clearly and positively with children and adults
Works effectively as part of a team and builds strong relationships with pupils and staff
Has a secure understanding of how to support learning in English and maths
Is committed to inclusive practice and understands the importance of nurture and emotional support
Brings creativity, energy and a calm, positive attitude to every day
Will support our Christian ethos and the wider development of the children in our care

Ofsted Inspection – June 2025
Our latest Ofsted inspection judged the school to be Good, with strengths in our nurturing environment, inclusive provision, and high expectations. Inspectors noted:
“Pupils feel safe, heard and cared for. They consistently meet the high expectations that staff have of their behaviour and attitudes... Pupils thrive within this trusting and harmonious environment.”
Location and Community
Wittersham is a village school located between Tenterden and Rye, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our setting plays an important role in daily school life and our wider curriculum offer.
