Shorne Church of England Primary School

School Description

Shorne Church of England Primary School is located in a beautiful village setting and has 210 children. We were graded as a GOOD school by Ofsted in October 2017, and GOOD as a church school by SIAMs in February 2018. We pride ourselves on our friendly, collaborative team ethos and if you join us we will ensure that you have opportunities for continued professional development.

The school has extensive facilities, bright, airy classrooms and attractive school grounds. We are situated next door to a farm, which gives all year groups the opportunity to experience the curriculum outside regularly and develop through outdoor learning. Our curriculum is delivered through engaging, memorable opportunities, and we believe in the development of the whole child. Our mission statement, Growing Together in Learning and in Faith, reflects our strong Christian ethos and our aim for the very best for everyone within our community.

We are part of the Aletheia Academies Trust (AAT), and we work collaboratively with our partner schools to provide a wide range of exciting learning opportunities for our children and staff.

Our vision for Shorne Church of England Primary School is to:

  • deliver an education, underpinned by the Christian faith, that is aspirational and inclusive, equipping children with the resilience and mindset needed to succeed – both now and in the future.

  • provide our children with an inspiring curriculum with their needs at its heart. We aspire to enable all our learners to develop their talents and a love of learning, supporting them to become articulate, resilient, and respectful; to be courageous advocates with the foundation to pursue their ambition and make a difference.

  • foster our children’s sense of inclusivity and collaboration and support them to communicate effectively with others; to understand how integral each of us is to our community and the impact we can make together, celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of all.

Our Christian Values are Resilience, Community and Respect.
