Fordcombe CEP School
Fordcombe is a rural primary school set in the heart of the Kent countryside. It has up to 105 pupils on-site with approximately 15 pupils per year group. On entry, pupils are fortunate enough to spend their first year in a reception class with 15 classmates. There are three mixed-age classes in Key Stage 1 and 2 with roughly 30 pupils in each.
Graded as Good in our last Ofsted inspection, pupils attitudes to learning, their behaviour around the school and the vibrancy and diversity of our curriculum were all picked out as real strengths. We have been graded as Outstanding in our last Church school inspection with the relationships between staff, pupils and parents highlighted as key positive areas, along with the opportunities all staff have to lead areas of the curriculum.
We have an enthusiastic and welcoming staff team who is committed to seeing the school achieve the best for its pupils. We believe the induction of new staff members is key, and have training opportunities available both in school and in the local cluster of schools in order to support initial practice. We have a very supportive parent body that have funded the development of our library and improvements in our music curriculum recently. Please have a look at the annual review (link below) which gives you a further flavour who we are as a group of people and the ethos of the school.
We are part of the Tenax multi-academy trust, and also the Sevenoaks Partnership of Schools, benefitting from the close links with other local schools in both networks. We are looking for someone who is willing to join our small and dedicated team, working alongside other staff to continue learning and continue moving learning forward.
