Broadwater Down Primary School
Tunbridge Wells
School Description
We are a small local primary school who believe in community, diversity and excellence. Our small size is our superpower - it allows us to nurture champion and inspire every learner. We are an integral part of the community around us and enjoy the close relationships we have with pupils and their families.
In school, kindness and emotional well-being are at the core of everything we do for the children in our care. The team support each other to enrich pupils; lives with interesting learning experiences tailored to meet children's needs and contexts.
In October 2024, the school was given a Nurturing Schools Award by Nurture UK, in recognition of the work that we do to support children's mental well-being and emotional literacy.
Working at Broadwater you will find colleagues who are positive, supportive and eager to collaborate, striving to achieve the very best for the children in our care. You will find pupils who are curious, friendly and vibrant who have a wide range of cultural backgrounds and experiences which come together to form a magical school community.
As part of the High Rocks Federation, colleagues benefit from high quality professional development, collaboration and exciting cross-school opportunities with another highly regarded local primary school.
We are situated near the Pantiles end of Tunbridge Wells and we are fortunate to have lots of outdoor space including a field, two playgrounds, class outdoor areas, allotments and a small woodland area with our very own forest school. Currently, we have five classes including some mixed age year groups and around 110 pupils on roll.
A March 2023 OFSTED inspection graded the school as good in all areas.
If you would like to join a small vibrant school with a big heart and bold ambitions, do come and pay us a visit.
