Specialist Support DT & Engineering

Salary Grade 5 Grade 5 £17,399 - £18,431 (£19,723 -£20,893 Full Time Equivalent)

Full Time: 37 hours per week in term time (38 weeks per annum) with 74 additional hours in school holidays (equivalent to 2 weeks)

  • Do you have experience of working in Design & Technology or Engineering?
  • Do you enjoy supporting young people and gain satisfaction from seeing them learn?
  • Are you proficient in the use of workshop machinery in a school environment?
  • Are you familiar with the Health & Safety requirements of a workshop?
  • Are you versatile, a quick learner and do you have good IT skills?

NTC has a Full Time vacancy for a DT and Engineering Technician to help support teachers in the specialist Design Technology areas. There will be a need to support students and staff with practical tasks and resources, ensuring a productive and creative specialist environment.  You will need patience, ability to organise and manage specialist materials, components and equipment together with responsibility for stock checking and ordering of suitable cost effective materials.

The working hours of 37 hours per week is Term Time, plus 74 additional hours which can be agreed with the Headteacher and in line with school requirements.
