The University of Kent Academies Trust are seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals for the role of casual Minibus Driver to transport our students on a designated route on their journey to and from school. This is a relatively new service at Chatham Grammar but has already proven so popular with students and their families, that we have increased our services  

 

Our Drivers and Chaperones work on a rota between the hours of 7.00 – 9.30am for the morning school run and from 2.00 – 4.30pm for the afternoon school run. Hours will be worked on a casual basis and there will be negotiation and flexibility as to the days of the week you choose to work. Total hours worked per week varies according to availability of individuals but is not likely to exceed 20 hours per week 

 

Previous experience of driving a minibus of up to 17 seats is essential and you must have an appropriate (clean) driving license. Your driving license must be for manual vehicles and must have category D1. It is preferable that you have already undertaken Midas training however, we would be happy to facilitate this training for our successful applicants. 

 

You will need to demonstrate that you have a calm and friendly manner and a willingness to have a flexible approach to work. You will be pro-active and reliable and will be able to demonstrate attributes that will make you a role model to our young people.
