We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team in January, to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil in KS2.

This is a part-time appointment (term-time only) with an end date of 31 August 2022.

It is for 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, paid on OCMAT KR3 £17,769 - £18,039 (pro rata)

Previous experience as a teaching assistant would be an advantage and in particular within KS2 and with pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will be literate and numerate to GCSE or equivalent and have relevant experience of teaching phonic skills and reading.

Ideally, in applying for the post you will have:

  • Essential previous experience of working as a teaching assistant, including working with children with additional needs.
  • High standards of work-ethic, be self-motivated and have an ability to work with high levels of independence.
  • High standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards and team work.
  • The ability to form positive relationships with children and adults.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

This post is linked to specific time limited funding and will cease, when the funding stops or if for any reason the child leaves the school.
