If so, join us at Manor Community Primary School where relationships with parents and our wider community is at its heart - we are looking to appoint a Family Liaison Officer to work within our inclusive and supportive team.

The Opportunity

This an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for all children, and is committed to safeguarding. The role will involve working alongside the Family Support Manager to provide holistic support for children and families, as well as promoting engagement with the school community and breaking down any barriers. This will, in turn, raise school attendance, enhance children’s social and emotional development and maximise their opportunities to learn regardless of backgrounds and family circumstances. 

The successful applicant will be contracted to work 37 hours per week, term time only (including 5 inset days).

FTE Salary range: KR5 £19,723.  Please note that the salary will be pro-rated in line with working term time plus inset days only. 

We are looking for a colleague who has:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and planning skills
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a team
  • Experiences of using problem solving techniques and approaches when working with families
  • Proven abilities to deal with difficult/sensitive situations
  • Ability to demonstrate a child centred approach

Desirable

  • Experience of working with attendance in schools
  • Experience of working as a DSL
