Advert

We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Teacher of English with energy, intellectual capacity and determination to join our team, and make a difference to the lives, aspirations and opportunities of our young people. This role will be specifically working with students with Educational, Health and Care Plans, that meet the entry criteria for the Eliot Centre (our onsite Specialist Provision), therefore a special interest in SEND would be an advantage.  This is a full time, fixed term role, linked to maternity leave, for up to one year.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding professional who takes pride in their work and is determined to develop the teaching of English so that students of all abilities enjoy their learning and are motivated to succeed.

Our new colleague will be working with students with a range of abilities (including lower Key Stage 2) in small classes, within the secondary setting. Collaboration with our ‘in house’ Primary teachers, Nurture team, SENDCOs and other professionals in the SEND and English departments to plan and deliver a bespoke curriculum of English to students with EHCPs will make excellent progress from their starting points and thrive in our specialist setting.
