At Oaklands, we are lucky to have fantastic grounds and amazing facilities.  Our children love our school- from our very own swimming pool, exciting forest school or professional training kitchen, they love developing their learning in specialist learning environment. 

 

We are looking for an eager and new Apprentice Caretaker to work with our current site team in developing this further. We love to make the most of our school and so always looking for new and exciting ways to expand and develop. 

Do you have the skills and imagination to help develop our site further? 

 

We are looking for a someone who is practically minded to help maintain the standard of the school while also developing their own skills in Premises Management.  We want our site to be the best possible condition and reflect the pride we have in our children into our building. 

Can you keep our school a stimulating and safe learnign environment?    

As this role is an apprenticeship role, you will have the extra benefit of face to face and online training.  You will develop the skills, knowledge and attitude to become a successful caretaker or site manager of your own school one day.  We want a keen learner who wants to soak up as muhc learning as possible. 

Information about the school

Oaklands School is a Good school ( July 2023 report ) with results which are at or above national averages. We are a two form entry primary school situated in Walderslade.

The school is set in extensive grounds and is well resourced, including our own swimming pool offering swimming from Year R through to Year 6, a Forest School, our very own training kitchen, Art Room, Science Lab, Running Track other superb opportunities for outside learning.

We offer wrap around care including breakfast and after school facilities to support working families. At Oaklands there is a very strong sense of being a team with dedicated staff whose aim is to offer our children a first class education. Our Forest school is key to this aim and has been critical to the development of our children as resilient and confident learners.

At Oaklands we understand the importance of strong staff well being. we offer a wide range of support to ensure staff have a positive work life balance. Please do ask about these on your school visit as we are constantly adding to our offer.
