Advert

Can you manage an office as well as being a welcoming and helpful first point of contact for parents and visitors?

Ramsgate Holy Trinity C.E. is a small but busy Primary School on the border between Ramsgate and Broadstairs. We pride ourselves on being a caring, friendly and highly successful school with a 'family' feel.

A range of skills will be required for this role - you must be calm, positive, welcoming, firm, patient and incisive. You must be able to see the bigger picture and have an eye for detail.

You will be a public face of the school for parents and visitors, as well as managing the effective and efficient running of a school office; which at any one time means managing the school's administrative software, putting a plaster on a child's grazed knee, helping a worried parent, arranging a school trip, sending out a letter, booking a supply teacher - often all at the same time!

In short, you will be an important part of the team that ensures the school continues to operate smoothly. You will probably have a background in school or education office management - but could just as well have transferable skills from the charity or business sectors. The high Kent Range salary (KR 7 £23,033 - £26,075 pro rata) reflects the importance of the role.

The post is permanent, full-time, term time only, Inset days plus an additional week in the holidays (40 weeks per year plus annual leave entitlement), Monday to Friday - hours to be 8.00am to 4:30pm (37 hours a week).

The ideal candidate will have Level 4 NVQ/degree/diploma qualifications. However, evidence of applicant's relevant experience will be taken into consideration.

This role may also suit somebody who is looking in the next few years to be a School Business Manager, and for the right candidate the school would be willing to support the successful candidate in gaining the SBM qualification.

A visit to the school is strongly encouraged. Please contact Mrs Couch in our office to arrange a date and time.

Information about the school

At Ramsgate Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a small, inclusive, and high-achieving school that puts children at the heart of everything we do. Situated on the border between Ramsgate and Broadstairs and only a ten-minute walk from the beach, our one-form entry school provides a warm, all-through primary experience for approximately 210 pupils in a location envied by many.

Guided by our Christian values of Love, Faith, and Hope, and our school story 'The Feeding of the 5000', we aspire to be a community where every child is nourished spiritually, emotionally, academically, and physically. Our dedicated staff team is committed to nurturing individual gifts, fostering a genuine love of learning, and ensuring every child feels they belong.

Rated STRONG in all categories in our most recent full Ofsted inspection in February 2026, we combine high-quality teaching with excellent pastoral care. Our rich, creative curriculum encourages pupils to ask 'big questions' and challenge ideas whilst building strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics. The result is articulate, confident pupils who are well-prepared for their next stage of education.

We are deeply committed to the emotional and social development of our pupils. We're incredibly proud to be the first school in Thanet to achieve Platinum OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) status, placing us in the top 1% of schools worldwide for the quality of play we offer. We believe that high-quality, creative play is essential for building resilience, managing risk, and fostering joy.

To support our pupils' mental health and wellbeing, we embed the Thrive Approach across the school. This trauma-informed framework helps us understand and support the social and emotional development of every child, ensuring they are emotionally secure and ready to learn.

We take staff wellbeing and professional development seriously, fostering a collaborative culture where teachers feel supported to innovate and excel.
