We are looking to appoint a teaching colleague to become our new SENCo and DSL, and join our Featherby team. This is a non-teaching post, although occasionally some class cover may be required.
You will already be an excellent classroom practitioner within your phase and ideally have experience within SEN and inclusion within your current role and phases. With tailored support we will further develop you and give you the skills, encouragement and experience within the profession to continue to learn and care.
We actively welcome interest from colleagues who already hold the National SENCO Award as well as from teachers (from any specialism) who have a keen interest in developing their career in SEN and inclusion.
You will:
• Be fully committed to our school and our ethos
• Have an excellent understanding of SEN Code of Practice and procedures
• Be a skilled and experienced teacher with exemplary classroom practice, and the skills to be able to coach and develop this within others
• Have a strong track record in making an impact on pupils’ progress
• Have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• Be able to lead, motivate and inspire others to achieve excellence
