This position is all year round based on 37 hours per week , 52 weeks a year on a split shift basis.

KR4 £18,517- £19,625

KR5 £19,723-£20,893

6-10.30am - 3-6pm  Monday-Thursday

6-10.00am - 3-6pm Friday

 

Purpose of the Job

The post involves providing a range of duties covering security, heating, lighting, cleaning, porterage, minor repairs and maintenance.  Working hours may be subject to variation and call-out at weekends and unsociable hours may be necessary from time to time.

Our Caretaker is responsible for:

  1. Opening & Locking the school -As primary key holder this is a split shift.  This role also includes being the emergency contact and overtime for lettings.
  2. Organising our team of cleaners.
  3. Health & Safety - This includes liaising with our H&S provider and Trust Business Manager; as well as completing relevant checks.
  4. General maintenance and liaison with external contractors. The role also includes some project management.

Riverview Infant School is a large, friendly Infant School with an excellent reputation for its caring ethos and high academic achievement. We are part of The Pathway Academy Trust (TPAT) associated with Riverview Junior School, Culverstone Green Primary School, Wrotham Road Primary and Meopham Community Academy

Ofsted graded the school as Good in all areas inspected in October 2018. Inspection 5 for Outstanding is due within 2 years.

We admit four Reception classes each year into our School which is set in attractive grounds, with two hard-surface playgrounds and a generous field. Riverview is lively and forward-looking. Parents and Governors work well with the staff team and become actively involved in many areas of school life. We are an ECO school and have our Active Mark as well as Healthy School status.
