Teaching Assistant Small Haven School

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Small Haven School, Ramsgate. Small Haven School is a small independent specialist school, currently registered to take up to 36 pupils from age 6-19 years, with a range of special educational needs.

We wish to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary department team as soon as possible. The role offers a unique opportuinity to work in very small classes with high levels of adult support to enable personalised learning and make a real difference to the lives of the children we care for.

This maternity cover post offers a wonderful opportunity to gain insight and experience of the unique therapeutic SEN provision that we provide at Small Haven School.

The position runs until the end of the academic year, 22nd July 2022. It is worth noting that, in the right circumstances, some successful temporary candidates have gone on to secure full-time employment with the school, dependent on opportunities becoming available.

Salary: £16,650 per annum (qualified TA rate) pro rata
