Thistle Hill Academy are looking to appoint an experienced Teacher to work in our Specialist Resourced Provision. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and outstanding teacher, with experience of working with children with Autism.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who wants to make a difference and be part of an inspirational and creative team working within Specialist Resourced Provisions based at Thistle Hill Academy.

In the SRP we aim to equip pupils with the skills that they require to reintergrate successfully in a mainstream class. The teacher will work closely with the SENCO and outside agencies to ensure the most effective provision for each individual child.

In addition to the day to day running and organisation of the SRP, the teacher will have responsibility for leading on Annual Review meetings and statutory EHCP paperwork.

The successful candidate will:

•Have an understanding of the key features of nurture groups.
•Have QTS and several years of teaching experience either in mainstream or special schools.
•Have experience of teaching children with additional needs such as ADHD and attachment disorders.
•Hold a post graduate ASD qualification or be willing to undertake one (fully supported by the Trust).
•Be skilled in the planning and delivery of evidence based interventions for a range of ASD needs.
