Part-time Student Support Co-ordinator 

15 hours per week worked on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time only  

Salary: £26,083 - £28,769 fte (actual salary in the region of £8,639-£9,529 with further adjustment as appropriate to reflect a mid-year start date) 

Fixed term to 31 August 2023  

Local Government Pension Scheme – 21% employer contribution  

 

We are seeking to recruit a fixed term, part time Student Support Co-ordinator to support the work of our Sixth Form Team while our permanent and usually full time Student Support Co-ordinator is reducing their working commitment to 3 days per week in order to complete accredited professional development.    

Working in conjunction with our permanent postholder, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in co-ordinating the monitoring and intervention strategies for our Sixth Form students in order to create a positive environment where interventions to support personal wellbeing and academic success are timely and appropriate.    

The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills as they will work directly with students, parents, staff and external agencies to best meet the wellbeing and academic needs of our students.   In addition, the successful applicant must be a strong administrator so that written communications and record keeping around student monitoring and support are accurate and to ensure the successful planning of key sixth form events. 

The post provides the opportunity to work with highly motivated students in a collegial environment that is both stimulating and rewarding.
