We are looking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant to provide individual support for a pupil with significant learning needs, who is currently accessing both the Reception and year 1 classes. Experience of working with children who require a differentiated curriculum would be beneficial. You will be required to work closely with both class teachers to maximise curriculum access for the pupil by preparing practical, relevant learning experiences, and supporting the acquisition of early phonics and basic skills. We encourage independence in all our pupils, so you will be expeected to work with other pupils at times, both in and out of the classroom setting.You must have a good standard of English and Maths, and be able to communicate effectively with adults and children. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, is resilient, works well as part of a team and has a good sense of humour.

This is a temporary post, to cover long term staff absence, with an anticipated end date possibly in the Spring Term, although this is open to discussion. Working hours are 8:30-11:45am, 12:45-3:15pm Monday to Friday, term time only.
