KR10 £33,678 to £39,613 pro rata - 39 weeks per year term time only + 7 additional days.

We are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic and forward thinking School Business Manager. They will be responsible for the financial planning, development and systems of the school alongside the existing Leadership team. We are looking for someone who shows energy and commitment, combined with excellent financial management, administrative, customer service and staff supervision skills. As our Business Manager, you will also lead and act as line manager for the administrative, premises and IT staff.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to relate equally well to the staff team, parents, pupils and visitors. They will be calm and efficient but creative in their ideas and able to work with us to sustain and build on the previous success of our school.

This role will suit an experienced school Business Manager or highly experienced Finance Officer with a business management qualification. Some experience of successfully leading others will be necessary.

Skills and experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and to be able to relate equally well to all stakeholders.
  • Calm and efficient and able to work with existing members of the school staff to build on the current success of the school.
  • Able to manage others to include recruitment, induction, probation, appraisal and workload planning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with the drive to ensure that a high-quality service is provided, dealing with multiple tasks in parallel, and sharing knowledge appropriately.

 In addition to these skills, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has very good organisation skills and shows initiative.
  • Understands the need for all work to be confidential.
  • Is committed to the school, and is willing to contribute and support school events.
