This is  term time only role, 30hrs per week 8:45am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

The salary is paid at pro rata'd KR3 - approximately £12,257 gross

43 paid weeks (term time + 5 weeks holiday). 

We are looking for someone who can bring motivation, energy and excellent communication skills to the role.  You would need to support the class with their educational, physical, emotional and social development, and play an active role alongside the teacher in shaping the learning of the pupils.

As part of the Teaching Assistant role we require the succesful candidate to be able to accomodate covering our Breakfast Club, from 7:30am and Afterschool Club until 6pm one day per week as required (e.g. to cover periods of absence of colleagues - advanced notice would be given)

Information about the school

Water Meadows Primary School is a growing 1FE school on the outskirts of Canterbury.

In September 2020 Water Meadows was expanded with the opening of a new school building, which provides additional teaching space in the form of 4 brand new state of the art classrooms and a learning resource centre.

The school is a member of The Stour Academy Trust, a forwarding thinking Multi Academy Trust of primary schools that are transforming that way that children learn in order to better prepare them for the 21st century.
