Water Meadows Primary School are looking to recruit an Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the children. Ideally we require someone with experience of working with young children who have additional educational and emotional needs.

As an Intervention TA, you would be working with individual and small groups of children to provide additional support with reading, writing and mathematics, as well as supporting their social, emotional and mental needs. A knowledge of intervention programmes is an advantage, but not essential.

The ideal candidate will be committed to working in an inclusive framework, working closely with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

We are looking for high-calibre applicants with a passion for learning and high expectations for all pupils. Initially this role is mornings only - 8.45am – 12.30pm (18.75 hours per week), but it is likely to increase. This is a term time only position on a pro rata'd salary on KR3 - therefore the annual salary will be approx £7661

Please note: this position is based on the funding provided for a child and therefore is a temporary role subject to annual review on August 31st 2021.

Water Meadows Primary School is a growing 1FE school on the outskirts of Canterbury.

In September 2020 Water Meadows was expanded with the opening of a new school building, which provides additional teaching space in the form of 4 brand new state of the art classrooms and a learning resource centre.
