White Cliffs Primary School are looking to appoint a proactive, enthusiastic, inspirational and motivated individual as a Pastoral Assistant.
Start date: As soon as possible, but no later than 1 September 2021
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Pupil and Parent Support Manager. You will work as part of the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team, providing programmes and interventions to individuals and small groups of children.
You will need to be organised, empathetic, calm and resilient with both children and adults, and have excellent communication and negotiating skills. The key role will be to advocate for the children and help them overcome the barriers to learning.
The successful candidate should be educated to A level or equivalent and must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C/4 (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English. Certificates will need to be shown at interview upon appointment. This position is for a total of 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (38 weeks + 5 development days).
Salary: Kent Range 4: £18,129.00. The pro rata equates to approximately £13,696.79 per annum inclusive of annual leave entitlement. Annual leave is not to be taken during term time.
