We would like to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team within the Whinless Down Academy Trust.

The position involves working in partnership with class teachers with an aim to achieve the best outcomes for our children, supporting individuals and/or groups of pupils.

Here, within the Whinless Down Academy, we believe that the learning environment extends to the playground and lunch hall so part of this role includes lunchtime supervision where we aim to teach children social skills whilst sharing meals and engagement in active play.

The successful applicant will have a good standard of spoken English and will have achieved English and Maths GCSE qualifications to at least a 'C' grade or equivalent. An NVQ Level 3 in Learning Support/Teaching Assistant is desirable, or at least a willingness to undertake this qualification.

This position is from 8.30am-3.30pm, with one day to 4.30pm, 33 ½ hours per week.  Pay is at KR3, pro-rata term-time only.  This is, in the first instance, a fixed term contract until August 2022.

Whinless Down Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding children and this post will be subject to a full enhanced DBS check and 2 satisfactory references.

Whinless Down Academy Trust is an equal opportunities employer.
