Chilmington Green Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Intervention Teaching Assistant. 

We are looking for someone who can bring motivation, energy and excellent communication skills to the role.  You would need to support small groups of children with their educational, physical, emotional and social development, and play an active role alongside the teacher and Nurture Team in shaping the learning of the pupil.

30hrs/43 paid weeks (term time + 5 weeks holiday). 
KR3 Pro-rata annual salary approximately £12,257 gross 

This is a temporary role subject to annual review

The ideal candidate will be hard-working, flexible and adaptable with good literacy and numeracy skills. Previous experience of working with children with educational needs is desirable but above all, we would like someone with a calm and positive approach to working with children with varying levels of special educational needs.

Information about the school

Chilmington Green Primary School is a new primary school in Ashford that is open in temporary accommodation in Jemmett Road.

The school will move into its new state of the art site on the Chilmington Green development once building works have been completed, this is currently expected to be September 2021.

When fully operational Chilmington Green Primary School will have up to 60 pupils in each year group. It will also operate a nursery which will provide 26 full-time/52 part-time places. The building will host specialist provision for up to 14 primary aged pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The school currently has an admission number of 30 per year group with mixed year group classes up to Year 6.
