This is an excellent opportunity for someone enthusiastic and innovative to develop an outstanding library provision here at Hartsdown.  

 

The successful candidate will undertake the day-to-day running of the school library provision under the direction of the school Literacy Lead. Specific duties will include overseeing the maintenance and use of the school library, including the Accelerated Reader and Lexia provision, facilitating library-based learning and supporting the delivery of literacy interventions for low ability learners.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children, ideally of secondary age, hold Level 2 or 3 NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualification).

 

Applicants must have good knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Special Educational Needs, child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities and confidentiality.

 

This position is for 37 hours per week during term time.
