We are looking for an aspiring Teaching Assistant  to join our team supporting our SEND pupils. 

The person we appoint will have a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development. They will have high expectations of themselves and of children to enable every child to be fully included and to reach their potential, whilst showing initiative and adaptability and be committed to working as a member of a team. 

This is a diverse role, primarily supporting individuals and small groups and may include supporting teaching and learning as a class teaching assistant.

Please note that this position is dependent upon external funding and should the funding be withdrawn the contract will also terminate

You will need to be enthusiastic and keen to participate in all areas of school life. You will be an integral part of school life supporting students and teaching groups of pupils.

We are looking for someone who

  • has experience in all primary school key stage areas
  • is flexible and values working in a team.
  • is passionate about teaching and has a really good understanding of how pupils learn
  • has previous Teaching Assistant experience
  • has NVQ level 2 or 3 in Child Care and Education/Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification.

This post is term time only, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm

We are a mainstream primary academy (REAch2) with a Physical Disability Specialist Resource Provision - this means have pupils who are physically disabled that are taught within mainstream classes. Not only are we able to enhance their learning, but they support the inclusive and empathetic atmosphere we have built at Tymberwood.
