Rolvenden Primary is a small rural school comprising of 4 mixed age classes; which both nurture and foster independence and confidence. We currently have 98 pupils on roll serving the children of the village and beyond.
Our teachers are creative, enthusiastic and our children love to learn. The school has been in the village since 1837 and has classrooms in the original Victorian building, as well as a mobile classroom and library.
Rolvenden Primary is nestled within the picturesque village, our school benefits from amazing facilities including an enormous school field and an outdoor swimming pool.
We are well resourced for both curricular and extra curricular activities. Every class has the support of a teaching assistant for the benefit of our children and teachers.
As a school we are part of the Tenterden Schools Trust. this is a local trust and includes Homewood Secondary School, Tenterden Church of England Junior School, Tenterden Infant School and St. Michael's Church of England Primary School.Being part of this trust enables our staff to have additional professionals to work closely with to ensure we provide an excellent learning environment for our children and work place for our staff and their chosen professional development route.
We are also actively engaged in the Tenterden Rural Alliance and participate in Ashford School meetings
We endeavour to enjoy our rural links, by using the environment to support many of our studies and go on whole school Welly Walks where other family members are invited to join us!
Our children love taking part in our whole school productions - whether at school, in the Church, on our field or at the National Trust Theatre at Smallhythe Place.
