Brompton Academy, part of the University of Kent Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to the role of Clerk to Trustee Board.

This is a key role to provide advice and guidance to the trustee board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and contribute towards the efficient functioning of the trustee board and its committees.  You must be reliable and able to work flexible hours and be available for all Trustee meetings and associated events.  Hours will vary but on average approximately 62 hours over the course of the academic year.

You will be required to provide administrative and organisational support, guidance to ensure that the board works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework, and understands the potential consequences for noncompliance and advice on procedural matters relating to the operation of the board. 

A good level of education is required together with proven experience of organising meetings, writing agendas and producing accurate and concise minutes.  Completion of the National Training Programme for Clerks to Governing Bodies would be desirable but a willingness to work towards this would be accepted.
