Looking for a new challenge?

Following the retirement or our original Site Manager, we are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Goat Lees Primary School.

We currently have a vacancy starting in August/September 2020 as there will be a handover period with the current Site Manager. There can be some degree of flexibility with timings depending on availability and previous experience.

We would welcome applications from existing site staff as well as those who may be looking for a change of direction. As a relatively new one-form entry primary school, our building is well maintained but strength or interest in a trade or general maintenance would be welcome so applicants should include details of this on their application form.

All new staff undergo an induction programme and relevant training will be provided if required.

We are looking for the best possible candidates who will share our vision and:

  • Complement our existing team
  • Support our school ethos and values and contribute to them through their own strengths, interests and talents
  • Can be flexible and are willing to adapt to the changing demands of a primary school setting
  • Have determination and commitment to ensure that the school site affords children the very best experience
  • Uphold the high standards we seek to achieve for all our children

We are a school that believes in investing in our workforce and would ensure that you receive quality support and CPD opportunities wherever you are in your career path.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances we are all currently experiencing, visits to the school prior to interview will not be possible. Therefore, your personal application and references will be of particular importance for this post.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Goat Lees Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).

Information about the school

Goat Lees Primary School is a one form entry Primary School which opened in September 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’. As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools across the Ashford District to provide support and opportunities for collaboration across our schools.

Our innovative building has been designed by a collaboration of experienced local headteachers and a nationally nominated architectural company which has created a beautiful space in which to stimulate learning. We have further enhanced our facilities by building a performing arts room with a large outdoor stage as part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

At Goat Lees, we pride ourselves on ensuring that we have done the very best for all our children and work together to bring out the best in everyone. Our staff, governors, children and parents are all incredibly proud of our achievements and our most recent Ofsted report (January 2020) concluded Goat Lees Primary School continues to be a good school.
