Leybourne Ss Peter and Paul CEP Academy are looking to appoint an experienced, positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who loves working with children.  You would be working as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment.

We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to join us in Year 4 from 1st September 2020. 

The position may include working on a 1:1 basis or supporting small groups, however you would also be required to work under the Class Teacher's direction to support all children within the whole class setting.  Initially, this is a temporary position until 31 July 2021. Hours will be 20 per week, term time only from 8:30am to 12.30pm daily, although there is some room to negotiate a later start time if required. 

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Can be flexible and is willing to support children in a variety of situations dependent on the child's needs
  • Is enthusiastic and committed to working with children
  • Is competent in basic English and Maths skills 
  • Hold a minimum of NVQ/CACHE Level 2 or equivalent experience or qualifications

A further advantage would be:

  • Experience of specific programmes or interventions including Speech, Language and Communication
  • First Aid or experience of supporting children with personal care
