Eastchurch Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a strategic leader to work alongside the Headteacher in driving school improvement.

This Deputy Headteacher will have experience in primary school improvement and will be looking for the next stage in their career.

The successful candidate will be a lead professional, confidently providing a significant role model within the Eastchurch community. They will embrace their accountability for the education of current and future generations of children with energy, passion and unrelenting aspiration, building on and developing the existing best practice across both sites. The candidate will be part of a team of professionals who champion the needs of every child, enabling them to flourish and achieve in this Church of England primary school.

We strongly recommend a tour of the school to include both sites to recognise the unique and exciting opportunity that this post offers.  To arrange a visit or for an informal discussion with the Headteacher, please make initial enquiries with Tracy Ryan our School Business Manager.

With this level of responsibility and a salary to match, the Governors are offering this rare opportunity to join our continually improving school.  Are you an outstanding, inspirational leader and team player with the passion and energy for driving strategic school improvement?

Eastchurch Church of England Primary School has a high percentage of vulnerable groups and therefore experience of the strategic processes required around these groups would be beneficial although not essential, with an understanding of SENd, Pupil Premium and other pupil groups.

Please contact Tracy Ryan, School Business Manager, in the first instance, to arrange a tour.

Information about the school

Eastchurch Primary School is a nurturing, inclusive, learning community that celebrates all possibilities, through a journey of exploration, engagement and enrichment, enabling all to take risks, build resilience and grow together in God’s love. Our vision flows from our biblical strapline taken from Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Together with our vision our core values of courage, forgiveness, honesty, kindness, love and respect are at the heart of everything we do.

As a two-form entry school split over two sites, we offer a unique experience for staff and families. Each site offers a one-form entry, family friendly school atmosphere, set within the support of a large vibrant organisation. Our sites, although very different in appearance, offer a consistent ethos, working together to ensure our children experience success and excitement in their learning every day.

We are proud of our ECO status and take an active role in the environment and community life. We value outdoor learning including our developing forest and beach schools.

Eastchurch Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The school will conduct all necessary safer recruitment checks before employment commences.
