Are you an inspirational and creative teacher looking for a challenge?

Drapers Mills Primary Academy in Margate is on an exciting journey. We are looking to add to our already successful team who have taken the school out of Special Measures to become a Good school with outstanding features (Ofsted, 2018). We are now heading towards the world of ‘Good and Beyond’ and are looking for a teacher who would like to join us on our travels.

All staff are completely committed to helping children succeed, often against the odds, within this extremely diverse community. Ofsted (March 2018)

Drapers Mills Primary Academy is part of the Kemnal Academies Trust, which is one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the south of England; with over 40 primary and secondary schools in the TKAT family. This enables the school to offer excellent CPD and training opportunities and uses a highly effective coaching/mentoring approach to develop its staff. We believe in a culture of partnering for performance and work closely with other TKAT academies and Thanet schools.

We are looking for an effective and enthusiastic classroom teacher to work in a KS2 class until the end of this academic year.

 The successful candidate will :-

  • be an excellent teacher with high expectations and a desire to succeed.
  • be someone who is committed to providing a welcoming stimulating learning experience for all the children at our school.
  • keep the child at the centre of everything they do.
  • be creative, imaginative and innovative.
  • be resourceful, purposeful, resilient and well organised.
  • be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.
  • be fully versed in the latest assessment procedures.
  • be up to date with all of the National Curriculum programmes of study.
  • have excellent interpersonal skills.

If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you to arrange a look around our school.

 In return you will have:

  • a comprehensive leadership team that challenges and supports its staff.
  • a leadership team that takes staff well-being seriously.
  • a school that has a strong sense of teamwork.
  • good opportunities for career development within our school and TKAT.
  • amazing pupils from all sections of the community.
  • a school with an international perspective and excellent facilities to support children with EAL.
  • A school where staff and children have fun.

The school is a bright, stimulating and safe haven for learning. Ofsted (March 2018)
