27.50 hours per week term time only

 

An opportunity has become available to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within the RADAR Provision, a small group focused provision that supports pupils who have, for a variety of reasons, have not been successful in Secondary School and need a time out placement or respite to rebuild their confidence, change behaviours or focus on their academic skill set. The Provision is run jointly by Westlands and The Sittingbourne School and is located off site at St Michael’s Road, Sittingbourne.

Applicants should have the necessary skills and experience in working with pupils across the full Secondary age and ability range who have various difficulties in mainstream classes or have struggled in a school environment. Candidates would be expected to have good literacy and numeracy skills, and as part of the interview, may be asked to demonstrate their skills in supporting pupils.
