We are seeking a  teaching assistant from January 2020  to work in our Key Stage 1.  The vacancy is for 23  hours over 5 days per week.

 We are looking for someone who:

  • Will support children's learning in and out of the classroom both individually and in groups.
  • Has the ability to make good relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
  • Will lead interventions for individuals and groups with confidence and initiative.
  • Is confident to work independently, particularly in the teaching of phonics to small groups of children
  • Is efficient, flexible and reliable.
  • Is able to work as a positive team player with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Has a willingness to support the school's Christian ethos and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Previous successful experience as a teaching assistant would be an advantage and in particular within KS1.  The relevant NVQ2/3 or equivalent is expected and GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above is essential.

The position will commence as soon as possible after a successful interview.
