The Beacon is looking to recruit a Specialist Intervention Worker to support SEND pupils in mainstream schools and settings.
Hours: 8:50 to 3:25 Monday to Friday, term time only plus five inset days (39 working weeks per year)
Salary: KR6 £20,222 - £22,072 (pro rata to £14,266 - £15,527 term time) depending on experience plus £1,274 SENA.
This role is temporary until August 2020.
This role will involve delivering focused interventions in wellbeing, behaviour and emotional management and social skills to pupils with SEND in mainstream schools & settings. The post holder will be expected to work as part of the STLS team and contribute to plans to ensure the school/Team meets its aims by supporting pupils in their education, social development and welfare.
This is a temporary contract until 31st August 2020 and we are happy to consider this role as a secondment.

The Beacon, Folkestone is a purpose built centre of excellence for learning, with outstanding facilities including hydro pool, hi-tech sensory rooms, soft play areas, state of the art PE hall, specialist subject rooms, sensory garden, grassed amphitheatre and life skills house.
The school building is specifically designed to meet the needs of the pupils and caters for 370 pupils aged 3-19 years with Profound, Severe and Complex Needs (PSCN).
The Beacon also hosts a Multi Agency Support Hub. This is one of four centres across the County that brings NHS colleagues, pediatricians, speech and occupational therapists, and nursing services, alongside children’s social services and portage colleagues into one cohesive centre.
