This Federation has had a bumper year for new entrants so we are expanding our team. We are looking for an ambitious/experienced person to join our happy village school.

This is a fixed term position to support a child/small groups whilst Higher Needs Funding is in place and will be reveiwed in July 2020, with a view to extend.

The post is for 32.5 hours p/wk (8.30am-3.30pm - includes 30min lunchbreak) Term time only (38weeks p/yr) 

We are looking for:

  • A 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support an individual within the Early Years classroom or small groups
  • A Teaching Assistant with a sense of humour, able to appreciate the joy in our learning community and engage with our supportive parent/carers
  • Ideally somoene with some experience of supporting children with speech and language difficulities but training will be provided.

Information about the federation

Lower Halstow School and Newington CEP School are single form entry village Primary Schools for children aged 4-11.Lower Halstow currently have 160 pupils on roll and Newington currently have 180 pupils they both have close links with their village church and community.Both have spacious school grounds with games pitches.Both Schools offer a safe secure learning environment and are well equipped with a variety of resources.

Lower Halstow School moved into its present building in October 2005 and offers many modern facilities such as a Sports Hall,ICT suite & Dining Hall. Newington was extended in 2000 with 4 new Classrooms and Library.

We have supportive Governors and parents and children are happy, polite, enthusiastic and are proud of their school.We are constantly striving to improve the opportunities for all and are always looking for new ways to make learning fun, engaging and effective. Both schools have been graded Good in recent inspections in March and May 2019. Please read our reports to get a feel for our ethos.
