Kennington CE Academy needs a FLO to work alongside our children and families; to encourage good relations and effective dialogue between parents and teachers about children’s progress.   You would playing an essential role in supporting the promotion of the parents/carers self-esteem to help them to maximise their own personal and interpersonal skills, which, in turn, will enable them to respond to family needs by communicating openly and providing good parenting.

Part of the role would also be as a Learning mentor working with the children to support their emotional and well-being needs;  this could include organising and running  clubs after school.

37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum.  Hours of work to be flexible to meet the needs of school and include learning conferences etc.

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)
