Broadwater Down Primary School is a small school of 150 pupils in the south of Tunbridge Wells.

We wish to appoint a Caretaker to join our team in July 2019. We need someone who enjoys practical and manual work, who can work independently and as part of a well-established school team. The duties are varied, but will include;

  • security of the school site and buildings
  • regular health & safety checks
  • maintenance of the buildings and school site.

The postholder will require practical experience, preferably in the building (or other relevant) trade, be conscientious, efficient, flexible, reliable, able to work both on their own initiative and under the guidance of others.

The post is for 20 hours a week for 52 weeks a year on KR3 grade.


The school and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young persons. The post is subject to enhanced DBS check and the Immigration, Asylum and nationality Act 2006.

Information about the school

We are a community school, situated on the south side of Tunbridge Wells. We currently have six classes, however, from September we will have seven.
