This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a dynamic and strategic leader to join our school and improve the life chances of our students. You will utilise your knowledge and expertise to support us in achieving the very best possible outcomes for our learners excluded from or struggling to engage with mainstream education.
As our Headteacher you will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and key and external stakeholders and develop highly effective staff in their current school/provision.
To succeed in this role, you will: • Drive up standards of teaching and learning to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils including reducing the gap for disadvantaged pupil groups• Be able to demonstrate your success of managing a diverse provision at different stages of school development.• Have the highest of aspirations to deliver the best opportunities to help re-engage and energise students that have made poor choices in their past.

The Maidstone and Malling Alternative Provision is located approximately 1 mile from the centre of Maidstone and is the hub of the Maidstone and Malling Inclusion Service.
The Service caters for young people from KS3- KS4. In KS3 the Service provides outreach, transition and respite support. In KS4 the placements are usually longer term.
The service works with the local schools to support transition and re-integration.
The Service is committed to the education and social development of pupils who have displayed social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in a mainstream setting and are at risk of permanent exclusion.
