Are you looking to develop your expertise in a popular and successful school?

We have an exciting career opportunity for an excellent EYFS/KS1 teaching assistant to join our dedicated team.  We are seeking an inspirational and highly effective practitioner, able to create engaging learning opportunities and committed to securing aspirational goals for all.  The new member of our team will need to demonstrate confidence in the teaching and learning process and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Applicants should hold or be working towards a recongised Teaching Assistant Qualification, be educated to at least GCSE level in English and Maths and must have KS1 experience. This vacancy is for 29 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum. Experience of working with children with Speech and Language difficulties would be considered an advantage.

We provide full support and training for support staff at all points in their development, together with an enthusiastic team of colleagues who are passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential.  We also offer the opportunity for support staff to specialise in an area of SEN.  As a good school with a rising roll, our amazing children, enthusiastic team and extensive grounds offer abundant opportunities for creativity and fun.

Visits are warmly recommended, so please book an appointment and let our children show you why they love Harcourt Primary School.

Our school is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of our children.  All appointments are subject to a full DBS disclosure and other pre-employment checks.

Information about the school

Harcourt Primary is a family-orientated, one-form entry school with a private nursery attached. Graded ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted in January 2017, we place great emphasis on an holistic approach to education. We encourage all children to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners. We work closely with parents and the local community to promote and provide family learning. The school is set in extensive grounds with large playing fields, wild garden and pond. We are a healthy school and also hold the Eco Schools Silver Award, Active Mark and Basic Skills Quality Mark. We are currently developing our Forest School Award.
