Hours:                         33 hours per week, term time only

 

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our successful SEN department under the management of the SENCo. The successful candidate will work with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to students and staff under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of the classroom teacher and SENCo. We are specifically looking for an individual who can work with students who have speech and language profiles so need someone with the necessary experience.

 

Candidates must have Level 2 or 3 NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) with proficient practical skills, ideally within a secondary school. Background knowledge and understanding of speech and language difficulties in young people is essential as well as some element of formal training.
