Advert

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and qualified teacher of French and Spanish. The candidate should be an enthusiastic and flexible teacher who has the drive to create a positive learning environment for all students.

This is a full-time post in a non-selective school 11-16 in Maidstone, which has the added bonus of new buildings to provide an exciting and vibrant environment. We have recently been graded as Ofsted Good in February 2018.

You will be responsible for providing interesting and challenging lessons for students of French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the support of a positive and innovative CPD Team. You will be part of a small, well-resourced department within a supportive and welcoming Chapter. Our students use Studio French and Viva Spanish at both Key Stage 3 and 4, and study GCSE French or Spanish on the AQA specification.

The Academy believes in offering a broad and balanced curriculum, which includes a comprehensive Enrichment Program where students have the opportunity to choose an activity to further their personal interests.  All staff are expected to offer or run an activity.  This role will also include being responsible for the pastoral care of a vertical Mentor group, with students from all years as part of a Chapter-based system.

This post would be suitable for NQTs and more experienced teachers.  We have a rigorous performance management process which allows for enhanced pay progression.

Please complete the attached application form.   Previous applicants need to apply.

Salary:  Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale

Closing date: 24 January 2019.
