We are looking for an individual to work alongside a KS1 pupil who has language and learning difficulties . They will need to be passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs, and who can help us make a positive impact on our students lives. The successful applicant will ideally have experience working with children who have autism and language difficulties and have the initiative to follow and implement personalised education plans with the child in order to help them reach their full potential. They will need to have high standards of work ethic in terms of motivation, personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards, good communication and team work.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Flexible and willing to support children in a variety of situations.

It is essential that the applicant has good literacy/numeracy skills (at least to Level 5 of the National Curriculum) and should preferably hold an NVQ3 or equivalent teaching assistant qualification. Further experience with positive handling, language interventions and or autism training would be beneficial to the role.

We are committed to the highest standards in safeguarding procedures. The successful candidate will be subject to appropriate DBS checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.
