Advert

At Hartsdown we have a number of students in each year who are unsuccessful, despite support, in accessing the main stream curriculum. This is due to their SEN or EAL. These students need a robust curriculum that allows them to achieve qualifications and experience that will allow them to have a successful future. The successful candidate will work as a mainstream classroom teacher and develop this alternative curriculum which could include nurture groups and KS4 enterprise groups.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop alternative curriculum and opportunities e.g work experience, first aid etc.
  • Support key students in their onward pathways
  • Liaise with the ARC and Head of KS3/4/5 to design appropriate curriculum

In return we will offer you:

  • An exciting environment where you can really make a difference
  • Being part of a small local trust that is totally committed to its staff and children
  • Significant opportunities for CPD and development

Hartsdown Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake a DBS Employment Check.
