Monkton CEP School are looking to appoint a Cleaner in Charge to work 12 hours and 30 minutes per week over a 52 week period.

Hours: 7:00 to 8:30 & 16:30 to 17:30 Mon- Fri Hourly Rate: £8.11 Holidays: 24 days per year (pro rata) Start : ASAP

You will be responsible for:

The school premises and grounds including the opening and closing of the school

Security, including evenings and breaches of security to be reported to the necessary authorities

Meeting and attending to contractors working on site during your working hours

Assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment, undertaking emergency cleaning tasks as required.

Carrying out testing procedures a per health and safety requirements for: Legionella, Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Tests.

Assisting with the letting of the site

Assisting with the efficient working of the heating and lighting, reading meters and maintaining approved records including any concerned with energy conservation

Ensuring the tidiness of paths and other hard surfaces within the grounds and undertaking minor repairs to furnishings and the building

Do you have:

A good awareness of Health and Safety and be willing to attend training as and when required in line with the lastest Health and Safety Requirments linked to this position.

Basic DIY skills and the ability to carry out a wide range of practical work

Ability to cope with occasional heavy lifting, have full mobility and be able to bend stretch, kneel and work at height.
