Advert

We have a delightful pupil with an Education Health Care Plan, which includes long-term, complex medical needs, who will be moving into Year 5 in September.  She has been superbly supported across the school having started her school life in our pre-school. The key job purpose is to provide day to day management of her tracheostomy, for which full training would be given.  Training would include a period of shadowing her staff currently supporting her and specialist training from the NHS. The school has worked closely with health professionals and parents to write a comprehensive health care plan, including clearly defined roles and responsibilities and emergency procedures. In addition to her two designated teaching assistants, there are other highly trained staff in the class and year group. It is important that she is part of the class, which requires allowing her to be independent and supporting her learning alongside her peers whilst being vigilant to maintaining her airways.

 She needs someone with:

*a mature attitude

*excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

*a caring and calm nature

*the ability to instil confidence in those around her, especially when working under pressure

*an excellent attendance record

This post is linked to a named pupil attending the school and would end if the pupil leaves Cliftonville Primary School or in the unlikely event that high needs funding is reduced or withdrawn.

We may be able to offer a July start, subject to receipt of satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Information about the school

We are one of the largest primary schools in Kent with nearly 862 children on roll, including a 27 Pre-School that offers 30 hour provision. Following our Ofsted inspection, January 2023, we join a small group or primaries who have kept their OUTSTANDING judgement in every aspect of the school. This is attributable to the dedication and professionalism of ALL staff.

When joining us, you will be supported to be the best that you can be. As an academy within the Coastal Academies Trust (CAT) we are passionate and driven in delivering outstanding opportunities for our whole community- staff, children and parents.

We are a family. Our school is warm and welcoming to children, their families and staff. The school is immensely proud of the diverse community it serves and is committed to maintaining outstanding outcomes for every child, no matter what their starting point in an environment that promotes intellectual, physical, emotional, social and spiritual development. As with any school, there are challenges...but the rewards of working at Cliftonville are huge.

Our school values of Independence, safe and settled, respect, resilience, aspiration, learning and community are integral to all that we are and do at Cliftonville Primary and Pre-school. As part of our commitment to community we make it our mission to promote positive wellbeing for all our pupils, staff and the wider community including parents and carers. We recognise that without positive wellbeing we cannot reach our full potential. Therefore, we aim to educate and support our whole school community on the importance of wellbeing and mental health, ensuring it is everyone’s responsibility to care for one another. Through our innovative ‘Wellbeing Hub’ we will provide mental health support, understanding and intervention for pupils and parents ensuring a holistic approach.

Our staff are our greatest resource and so we ensure that all staff have a supportive network and feel they are listened, to and valued at all times.

We work together with a whole range of partners including parents, external agencies, local groups to foster warm, friendly and purposeful relationships. Through these partnerships we support and develop the childrens social, and emotional foundations upon which learning is achieved through a bespoke, exciting, ambitious and engaging curriculum.

The school holds a number of important accreditations including most recently the Well being Award, the Inclusion Quality Mark and the Continuous Professional Learning and Development Quality Mark.
