Salary will be paid according to experience £14,966 – £16,967

(pro-rated for part time work)

In addition to the salary, the postholder is able to claim up to 51 days’ pay from the MoD at the current rate of £69.86 per day. Claims for £50 per day can be made for participation in the DofE bronze, silver and gold programmes outside of the regular working week.

Knole Academy in Sevenoaks is looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic SSI to co-ordinate and run our Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh programmes. This role involves weekend and evening working so flexible working is required. The applicant is likely to be an ex-senior NCO of the regular or reserve armed services although applications are also invited from others who have a working knowledge of the cadet movement and experience as a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer.

The academy currently has 18 cadets with numbers expected to increase and our DoE programme is very popular.

This is a part time role of up to 30 days per year although other relevant skills and experience may be considered to make up to full time employment if appropriate to academy needs. This could include technical, caretaking or lettings experience.

Introduction to Knole Academy

Knole Academy has a capacity for 1550 students aged 11-19. We are an all ability co-educational school with a grammar stream which has developed exponentially over the last few years. We foster an engaging learning ethos, using state-of-the-art technologies to develop new skills and create high aspirations. We deliver the IB Curriculum within our popular Sixth Form and offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities such as CCF (Combined Cadet Force) and Duke of Edinburgh Awards, dance and PE fixtures.
