Design & Technology Technician

 

12 hours per week, 39 weeks per year plus 2 additional weeks to be worked during school closure periods.

Salary Kent Range 3, £4,174 to £4,643 actual annual salary (£15,253 to £16,967 for a full time post).

 

We are seeking to appoint a skilled and resourceful Technician to work within our Art & Design Department

The successful candidate will have excellent inter-personal skills and will provide effective support to teachers and students, both in class and with the preparation of resources.

They will manage materials and equipment in resistant materials, engineering and graphics

and carry out workshop maintenance including sharpening workshop tools and servicing machinery.

Applications are welcomed from those who have practical experience in either an educational or industrial background. The ideal candidate would be familiar with CAD programmes and CAM equipment. A knowledge of safe working practices is essential.

Essential requirements

GCSE Maths/English at C or above or equivalent level 2 qualification.

Desirable

Experience of working with Secondary age children.
