We are seeking a part-time teaching assistant from 1st September 2017 to work in our Year 1 class.  The vacancy is for 15 hours per week, working all day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Will support and scaffold children's learning in and out of the classroom both individually and in groups.
  • Has the ability to make good relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
  • Will lead interventions for individuals and groups with confidence and initiative.
  • Is confident to work independently.
  • Is efficient, flexible and reliable.
  • Is able to work as a positive team player with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Has a willingness to support the school's Christian ethos and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Previous successful experience as a teaching assistant would be an advantage and in particular within KS1.  The relevant NVQ2/3 or equivalent is expected and GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above is essential.
