School Bursar

Responsible To:          Headteacher

Responsible For:         Finance, ICT Support, Premises

Location:                    Margate, Kent

Salary:                       £37,546 to £43,209 (dependent on experience)

Hartsdown Academy is looking to appoint a Bursar to support and report to the Headteacher and to the Coastal Academies Trust Chief Finance Officer. They will be responsible for financial planning, financial monitoring, business planning, payroll, buying/ordering, asset control, insurance arrangements and estate management.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting the senior management/leadership team of an organisation, ideally having worked in a similar role in a free school or academy and experience of leading the budgetary management and control within an organisation. They must have achieved at least the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification and have knowledge and experience of financial management systems.
